The Executive Committee (EC) oversees the management of the US BCSD. The EC is comprised of the Executive Director, the Chairman and other such representatives of member businesses selected by the Chairman, each of whom serves at the pleasure of the US BCSD. The US BCSD is supported by member dues, project funding, and through the Foundation for Sustainable Development; a non-profit corporation dedicated to charitable and educational promotion of sustainable development. Members formally meet twice each year to discuss projects and guide US BCSD direction. Member companies appoint a senior executive to represent them at the US BCSD's meetings and to serve as their main contact. Members elect a five-person Board of Directors that oversees the activities of the executive director. The executive director is responsible for daily management of the US BCSD, including projects, budgets and partners.
